GOV’T TO AUDIT EXXONMOBIL’S US$460M PRE CONTRACT COST

The Government will be moving to audit EXXON Mobil’s pre-contract costs. The company claimed that between 1999 and 2015 it invested a staggering 404 million United States Dollars to develop the exploration projects offshore Guyana, which the Government will have to repay. The Government will be checking on the accuracy of EXXON’s figures. Royden James reports.
