The beginning of the first sugar crop set to start at the LBI estate this week is in jeopardy. Nearly four hundred sugar workers on the East Coast Demerara have downed tools in solidarity with fifteen of their colleagues who were summarily dismissed on Monday.Kingsley Bryan is following developments there.
