12% OF GUYANA’S POPULATION WILL BE EXPOSED TO COASTAL FLOODING BY 2050 BASED ON RVA RESULTS FROM PDC

In this Antonio Dey report you will hear that 94,800 (12%) of Guyana’s population will be exposed to coastal flooding by 2050.  This data was published recently at the National Disaster Preparedness Baseline Assessment workshop for 2022, facilitated by the Guyana Civil Defence Commission (CDC) in partnership with Pacific Disaster Center (PDC) at Marriott Hotel Kingston.
