The Guyana Police Force is investigating a robbery underarm committed by three males, two teens; 13 and 17, on 36-year-old female security at the Christianburg Nursery School on October 19, 2021. According to police, the security guard was at work at the Nursery School Wismar Linden in the guard hut around 23:50hrs when the suspects, one of whom was armed with a brown handle knife, entered the hut and relieved her of one black ZTE cellular phone valued $43,000, thereafter they ran to the back of the compound.
The victim then raised an alarm and her colleague who was in a nearby guard hut gave chase and managed to apprehend one of the suspects.
The Police were summoned and the suspect was taken into custody. He was interviewed and assisted the police with investigations that led to the arrest of the second suspect. However, the third suspect made good his escape.
Investigations are in progress.
