A 32-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old female in Region 1, police said on Friday.
Police said the suspect committed the act on Thursday, July 22.
The suspect was contacted, told of the allegation, arrested and placed in custody, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
