Proving that her disability is not an inability, 16-year-old Mekyla Belgrave of North Georgetown Secondary School has been completely blind since she was an infant. She scored big at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, despite writing the exams a year early. Amel Griffith spoke with this remarkable young woman and filed this report.
