Failure on the part of the police to prepare cases result in a cycle of delays and adjournments. The police therefore have a role to play in efforts to ease overcrowding in Guyana’s jails. One year after that July 9 decimation of the camp street prison, Crime Chief Paul Williams has come up with a strategy he thinks would ease the overcrowding. Here are the details.
