Two Berbice men were on Monday arrested after the ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit (CANU) said they found 15.104 kg (33.3 lb.), which has a street value of approximately $4.54 million.

The men in custody have since been identified as 37-year-old Michael Embrack of Fort Ordinance, East Canje, Berbice and Randolph Job, of #51 village, Corentyne.

It is reported that CANU Officers while conducting operations in #51 village, Corentyne, Berbice, intercepted a car with two male occupants and discovered several parcels of suspected cannabis at #51 Village, Corentyne Berbice.
The men were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters along with the suspected narcotics which was tested and proven to be cannabis. Investigations are ongoing.
