-police on the hunt for “drinking buddy” of deceased
A 20-year-old labourer is now dead while police ranks intensify their efforts in finding a suspect identified as “Grasie” in light of the fact that the two men had been consuming alcoholic beverages together shortly before the now deceased man had been found with injuries to his body.
Dead is Keron Williams of Meten- Meer- Zorg, Ocean Garden, West Coast Demerara (WCD), who is said to have lost his life at the Leonora Cottage Hospital, WCD, late yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.
Reports are that on Sunday, Williams and “Grasie” had been seen imbibing in the Meten-Meer-Zorg area and some 30 minutes after, Williams was discovered with injuries to his left shoulder.
The injured labourer was rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital but despite efforts by the medical staff to save the man’s life, Williams succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted.
According to the police, the suspect is still at large as investigations into Williams’ death continue.
