A 21-year-old Labourer of Tabatinga Lethem, Central Rupununi was charged with the offence of Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm on October 25 at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court.
Morsen Alexander appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson and he pleaded not guilty to the charge committed against Samuel Stephens.
A trial was conducted where two prosecution witnesses testified and the court found the defendant guilty and he was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment.
