Fired for being pregnant. That’s the plight in which three female ranks of the City constabulary have found themselves. They were sent packing when it became obvious that they became pregnant within the first two year of employment. Their sacking sparked a protest in front of City Hall, followed by a hail of renouncement by women’s right groups. Royden James reports.
