69 more confirmed COVID-19 cases in Guyana

-54-y-o man is country’s latest COVID-19 fatality

Within the past 24 hours, health authorities have recorded 69 more persons being diagnosed with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the total number of confirmed cases in Guyana to 4,393.

In its updated COVID-19 Dashboard for today, the Ministry noted that there are 11 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 69 in institutional isolation, 49 in institutional quarantine and 772 in home isolation.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths attributed to the virus now stands at 131 with the latest fatality being a 54-year-old male from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).

According to the Health Ministry, 3,409 persons have recovered from the life-threatening disease while to date, a total of 20,091 persons have been tested for the virus.
