Barbadian Queen’s counsel Ralph Thorne has said that the court action filed by People’s progressive party Executive secretary, Zulfikar Mustapha challenging the appointment of Justice James Patterson as chairman of the Guyana elections commission, has no standing and should be thrown out. He said the president acted within the laws of Guyana when he appointed Mr. Patterson.
