BETTER SEA DEFENCE AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AN URGENT NEED IN GEORGETOWN – MAYOR

Now that five billion dollars have been earmarked in Budget 2022 to facilitate sea defence works in areas such as Leguan in Region Two, Bengal in Berbice and Grove, East Bank Demerara, City Mayor.
Ubraj Narine is adamant that the time is rife for Government to commence reparatory sea defence works in the Capital city. He also called for the city’s drainage system to be upgraded. More in this report from Kendell Richmond
