The lawyers representing the interest of wanted fugitive Marcus Bisram says they are
prepared for the likelihood of the murder accused returning to Guyana to face trial, but, with steps being taken through an appeal, a trial for Bisram may not be necessary.
The extradition of murder accused Marcus Bisram is likely to occur sometime
in 2019, once all necessary arrangements are put in place for him to face trial
in the courts locally. Bisram has since filed an appeal following a decision by
Federal Judge Kiyo Matsumoto of the state New York.
On Thursday, Attorneys at Law Dexter Todd, Adrian Smith, and Paula Jones-
Nicholson held a press conference expressing concerns over the investigation
police conducted into the death of Faiyaz Narinedatt which was allegedly
committed back in 2016.
Todd when asked by Nightly News about the team’s readiness to represent
Bisram at his hearing locally expressed optimism that their client’s legal team
locally and in the US will have a clear case. Javone Vickerie Reports.
