A 29-year-old man of Lancaster, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara was arrested Wednesday evening after a bullet proof vest was found at his home by the police.
The man’s name was not disclosed but acccording to a police press release, the suspect was previously employed at Sheriff Security Service.
According to the release, earlier on Wednesday evening, a party of police conducted a cordon and search exercise for military kits at the home of the suspect during which one navy blue bullet proof vest with plate was found.
He was arrested, escorted to the Mahaica Police Station and the vest lodged.
