That outage on Monday which caused three of the world’s largest social media platforms to become non-functional for six hours caused disruptions for many local businesses which utilise these platforms for marketing and other purposes. As such one local software developer is adamant that the time is rife for local business owners to invest in other online programmes that could safeguard their interests in the event of future outages.
