Social Media Administrator

HGPTV is looking for a social media administrator to create and execute our social media campaign.

The successful candidate will work closely with directors to ensure that our audience satisfaction is met, must respond to complaints, questions, and comments left on the company’s social media pages in a timely and appropriate manner.

Work with our reporters to make sure that stories are uploaded to our social media platforms, write blogs and interact with our audience. In addition, the social media administrator continuously monitors site analytics to see what types of content followers respond to the most and adjusts the strategy accordingly.


  • Manages company social media platforms, websites including Facebook, and other relevant platforms
  • Engages in social media presence creation
  • Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content for HGPTV website
  • Optimizes content following
  • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Assists social media management with large projects, events
  • Works as part of a team to develop large media campaigns
  • Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Works with directors and in-house team to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
  • Writes and distributes e-newsletters, blogs, online content  to subscribers
  • Manages social media communications
  • Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School diploma or a degree
  • Distinction in English
  • Should be a creative thinker with a passion for social media. Extensive experience using popular platforms is a must,
  • a desire to keep up with current social media trends.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to connect with key influencers is an important aspect of the job,

HGPTV is looking for a Producer/content producer to produce and plan our inhouse programs.  You will be responsible for planning and producing live broadcasts, pre-recorded content and location shoots for the channel and our website.

The successful applicant will have a passion for producing eye-catching television and enjoy exciting creative challenges. The role will focus on securing and producing guests for our really engaging topical debates, you will also need experience in making VT’s and producing live OB’s. The successful applicant will have proven journalistic ability, as well as creative flair and be well organized.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day production and planning of programs
  • Leading and communicating with on-screen talent to deliver the above
  • Working with the in-house team in the relevant product, content, and marketing teams
  • Liaising with other functions within the business

The ideal candidate for this role will have a relevant qualification:

  • Studio and Post Production Systems skills are a must

We’re looking for a part-time editor to join our newscast to strengthen our editorial team and build on the success of our flagship newscast Nightly News.

 Your responsibilities are:

  • Writing and editing content for the news websites
  • Proofreading Quality checking news content
  • Publish content to our websites.
  • Helping to attract online traffic and finding news and content ideas through social media.
  • Playing a key part in the promotion, PR.
  • Deputizing for the editor when required.


  • Have experience working in an editorial/journalism environment.
  • Are super creative with the ability to identify the best angle of a story or feature.
  • Work well under pressure, juggling deadlines and being busy while staying super organized.
  • Are meticulous with a great eye for detail, particularly when it comes to grammar and typos.
  • Understand our audience and subject, writing engaging content that will grab the readers’ attention as well as entertain and inform them.
