A joint operation on Wednesday at the Georgetown Holding Bay and Lusignan Prison by law enforcement officials have yielded a large quantity of contraband, the police said in a news release.
The lawmen said the search was conducted between 7 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. by officers from the Guyana Prison Service, the Guyana Police Force, and the Guyana Defense Force.
The release did not mention any arrests.

Quantity of zip lock bags
Two metal objects.
Two cellphone case.

14 improvised weapons
5 charger heads
7 lighters

2 cellphone batteries

A quantity of wires
10 small transparent zip lock of suspected cannabis amounting to 3 grams.
