COVID-19 death toll rises to 305 in Guyana

Within the last 24 hours, two (2) more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) died, taking the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 305.

This is according to a statement from the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Tuesday (today) which noted that the latest fatalities are two males, a 66-year-old and 47-year-old from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica).

“They both died while receiving care at our medical facility. The MOH expresses sincerest condolences to the families of the two deceased and will make every effort to provide all the necessary support during this difficult time to render any assistance needed. The Ministry is also appealing to the general public to respect the confidentiality of the two deceased and their families and to allow them to mourn their tragic loss in peace.”
