Despite facing significant obstacles that have resulted in considerable delays in the process, the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has planned to conduct Local Government Elections on June 12, 2023. In an interview with Renata Burnette on Wednesday, GECOM Commissioner appointed by the opposition, Vincent Alexander, addressed concerns about the commission’s readiness for the Local Government Elections.
