DIABETES, THE LEADING CAUSE OF AMPUTATION IN GUYANA, ACCOUNTS FOR 90 PERCENT OF LIMB LOSSES

 Diabetes is the leading cause of amputation in Guyana, accounting for 90 percent of the limb losses in the country. This was revealed by the supervisor of the J.E Simmons Orthotic and Prosthetic Appliance Workshop, Kingsley Isiguzo, during a recent interview with Nightly News. Joel Vogt tells us more.
