DPP lays new joint charge for Joel and Isaish Henry’s murder


The Director of Public Prosecutions has laid a fresh joint charge for Anil Sancharra and Vinod Gopaul, the two accused of Joel and Isaiah Henry’s murder.

Anil Sancharra on Thursday appeared before Magistrate Singh at the Fort Wellington Magistrate’s Court where the DPP discontinued the charge which was being heard in the cousins’ murder that took place between 5th and 6th September 2020 at Cotton Tree Village West Coast Berbice. Vinod Gopaul was however absent from the court hearing.
Sancharra was not required to plea as the matter was adjourned to 10th August 2021 at Blairmont Magistrate’s Court.
