Six (6) persons, who were travelling inside of a motor vehicle, in which cops discovered a firearm are now in police custody pending investigations.
Reports are that the group of persons detained by the police, inclusive of the motor car’s driver, were in the New Amsterdam village, Berbice, when ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) intercepted their vehicle.
A search was conducted on the motorcar in the presence of all of the occupants during which a suspected firearm was found under the driver’s side seat.
