ECONOMIES IN THE CARIBBEAN REGION ESTIMATED TO FALL BY 5 3% THIS YEAR

The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is estimated to contract economies in Latin American and the Caribbean by 5.3% this year, the greatest decline in over 100 years and worse than the great depression. Cognizant of this, the Director of the PAHO says that containing COVID-19 is dependent on the capacity of health systems in member countries. Temika Rodney tells us more.
