Ranks of ‘G’ Division, joined with Region 2 Chairman, Parmanand Persaud, to open the Essequibo October Criminal session on the lawns of the Richard Fikhal Police College at Suddie. Justice Franklin Holder who will be serving as the presiding judge, took the salute from Kevin Adonis, Divisional Commander of ‘G’ Division.
The October sessions are reported to have some 19 cases awaiting trial. There will be 5 murder cases, 9 adult rape cases, one rape of a girl under 16, 2 incest cases and one attempted murder case. A matter that was receiving prior attention is also set to be called again on November 4, 2014.
