ExxonMobil, the global oil giant, aims to make at least one more oil discovery within Guyana’s Stabroek Block this year. This announcement comes as the company continues to expand its exploration and production activities in the offshore oil-rich basin, which currently holds an estimated 11 billion barrels of crude.
With multiple drilling campaigns ongoing, industry experts anticipate that another significant oil find could further boost Guyana’s petroleum reserves and economic prospects. ExxonMobil and its partners Hess and CNOOC have already made over 30 discoveries in the block since 2015, solidifying Guyana as one of the fastest-growing oil producers in the world.
As exploration continues, all eyes are on new drilling operations, which could further enhance Guyana’s position in the global energy market.
