FAO ASSESSING GUYANA’S FOOD SAFETY SYSTEMS – AIMING FOR INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

The success of Guyana’s plans to expand trade and investment in the Caribbean community and globally and achieve food security hinges on the country’s efficient food safety systems. In recognizing this, the Food and Agriculture Organization has embarked on a project to assess Guyana’s local food safety control systems to bring them up to international standards.
