A 25-year-old Farmer of Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice, was hauled before the Court on Thursday (yesterday) to answer to the charge of “Robbery Under Arms” via a “Skype” hearing.
Janson Veronah, made his first (1st) Court appearance in relation to the above-mentioned charge in the Springlands Magistrate’s Court (via Skype) for the crime allegedly committed on Earl De Freitas.
He appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore and was not required to plead.
Veronah was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 and his matter has been adjourned to May 3, this year.
Meanwhile, also in the Springlands Magistrate’s Court on the same day (Thursday), 38-year-old Angad Shaw, who has no fixed place of abode, appeared before Magistrate Moore via Skype for ‘Break and Enter and Larceny’ on Shabeer Sattaur.
Shaw had been arrested on Tuesday for the crime.
During his Court appearance on Thursday (yesterday), Shaw pleaded “guilty” to the charge and was sentenced to one (1)-year imprisonment.
