A 27-year-old fisherman was on Tuesday arrested after Police unearthed a .32 pistol and magazine hidden in his roof beam.
Reports are that at about 19:00h, Police ranks acting on information received went to Grove Seadam, where a search was carried out on the premises of Ravindra Ramdat, called ‘Boomie.’
During the search, the pistol and magazine were found in Ramdat’s presence. He was asked if he was a licensed firearm holder but replied in the negative, according to the Police.
As a result, he was told of the offence committed, cautioned, and arrested. Ramdat was escorted to the Grove Police Station and placed into custody as the investigation continues.
