As ‘International Energy Conference and Expo Guyana’ kicked off on Tuesday, the Head of State Irfaan Ali had to tap into his artistic side after he was invited to put the finishing touches on a mural titled ‘From a humble beginning to a thriving presence’. by local designer and artist, Carol Fraser.
Ms Fraser said that since the artwork was going to an Art Connects exhibition in Dubai, it was momentous to have the President make the final brush stroke.
Art Connects Women, is an annual International Art Exhibition that honours female artists who are creating extraordinary works of art in their communities. It will be held in Dubai from March 8-11 in recognition of International Women’s Day (March 8).
