According to Shemar Alleyne, the Board of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) has decided to lift Guyana’s suspension. This action follows submitting the country’s 2020 report to the EITI. The lifting of the suspension indicates that Guyana has fulfilled the requirements and standards set by the EITI, demonstrating transparency in its extractive industries.
