GOV’T WARNED OF ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR ALREADY DELAYED GtE PROJECT

A former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has strongly criticized the Government of Guyana over continued delays in the US$2 billion and counting Gas-to-Energy project. The expert warns that further setbacks will significantly increase costs, adding to the already massive expenditure incurred on the project. Concerns are also being raised about efficiency, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
