Police have seized a gun found under a man’s pillow in his girlfriend’s house.
Ranks from the Golden Grove/Diamond Police Station acting on information went to Hammer Hammerhead, Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, where persons gathered immediately began dispersing. Police were able to identify a 21-year-old male of Albouystown, who ran into his girlfriend’s 3rd Field Kaneville, East Bank Demerara house.
According to the police report, ranks gave chase and was granted permission by the girlfriend to carry out a search. The woman led the ranks to her bedroom where the 21-year-old was found lying on the bed. One .32 pistol and two live rounds of ammunition were found under the pillow on the bed in their presence.
They were both told of the allegation, cautioned, arrested, and escorted to the Grove Police Station, where the suspected firearm and ammunition were lodged. They are in custody pending charges.
