  1. As a Guyanese, who for the lady 40 years swallowed in a state of concern that Guyana will never recover, I feel totally excited about the potentials this beautiful country has. My concerns linger with the people; those in govt and those who may not want to put their shoulders to the wheel and help turn it.
Guyana should not become a petrodollar dependent nation. Agriculture should be just as much a part of its development as oil. We have the land; use it. Return to the days of old when, as a high school student, I had a little vegetable garden and chicken farm. Let us remember the old Sparrow calypso, one BG plaintain can full up the pot. Not the sense of the song, but the actual fact we can grow anything and export cheaply to our brothers and sisters in the West Indies. As the population in these countries grow and grow, Guyana can become a Haven. They, in turn can help turn the wheel and build Guyana. The Bahamas, devastated by Dorian, Guyana can take them in. I do feel unity is strength and that strength, missing in the WI, can help cement unity. Guyana needs mechanics and other technologies that can be found in the WI not the big countries.
Always remember our bauxite and how it was exploited. The Guyanese people must realise, THE TIME FOR GROWTH IS NOW. GET UP FROM YOUR SLEEP. STOP SAYING IT KANT WUK. ANYTHING CAN WORK IF YOU TRY.
