An Automated Meter Reading System will be introduced in 2019 by the Guyana Water Incorporated to enable better accurate meter reading. Yaniss Abrams Reports.
Keeping up to date in the modern technological world, the Guyana Water Incorporated will introduce an Automated Meter Reading System (AMRS). The AMRS will be attached to existing water meters and is aimed to ensure more accurate bills for customers and the reduction of water wastage. The systems, which total approximately US$2M, will enable the company to become more efficient, according to Managing Director of the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI), Dr. Richard Van West- Charles.
