Guyana Jaguars continued to roar in the PCL Regional 4 day tournament after they steamed rolled Windward Islands Volcanoes to capture their 4th straight Win in the tournament on Sunday at the Providence National Stadium.

The Jaguars who so far had an impressive all-round performance weather with the bat or ball form any one player did so once again, against the Volcanoes.

Jaguars posted a first innings score of 454 for 9 declared that came off the brilliant batting efforts from Anthony Bramble superb 168 his second hundred in the tournament thus far and Tagenarine Chanderpaul 117 Not out.

In Volcanoes efforts to all-around, the mammoth total was met with superior bowling attack ball form Keemo Paul who grabbed 4 wickets off his 18 overs and Gudakesh Motie as the Volcanoes fell short by some 98 runs and were forced to follow on despite batting efforts by Devon Smith 65 runs and Kirk Edwards 139 runs.

With just 98 runs trailing in their second innings the Volcanos batting failed at the slow pitch at Providence as home Boy Keemo Paul used his knowledge and picked up six scalps more to his name as the visitors were all back in the Pavilion for 209 runs. Jaguars with just 111 to win didn’t hesitate much with the bat and cross the line in 18.3 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Jaguars will go up against Leeward Islands Hurricane on Thursday the 17th of January at the providence National stadium at 9:30 am.
