Suriname is prepared and has announced the names of a 13-Man Squad, to play in the International Futsal Festival to be held in Guyana, by the Guyana Football federation ExxonMobil.
Eight participating teams of which the Suriname ZV All Stars is apart, is booked to arrive in Guyana on twenty six (26) of December, Packed with Midfield maestro, coached by Bryan Weewee and two other supporting coach. The Suriname ZV All Stars who won the national futsal league in 2017, is now ranking in fourth place and will strive to sweat their way to the top in this four-day festival. Six matches will be played from the 18:00 hour, with the final match timetable to play at 23:00hrs. Georgetown All-Stars team will have an opportunity to play the Suriname side in the fifth match of the evening. Two other international teams participating in the festival are Morvant Caledonia United from Trinidad and Tobago and a São Paulo selection from Brazil. Local teams such as East Coast All-Stars, Linden All-Stars, Georgetown All-Stars and West Demerara All-Stars will all have an opportunity to shine. The winning team will pocket $1.2 million, while the losing finalist will receive six hundred thousand, third and fourth-placed finishers will collect three hundred thousand and one hundred thousand respectively.
