HIGH COURT THROWS OUT PPP’S CHALLENGE OF GECOM’S CHAIRMAN APPOINTMENT..ALL GROUNDS POSITED IN THE CHALLENGE DEEMED UNTENABLE.

Chief Justice Roxanne George Wiltshire ruled on Friday that President Granger acted in accordance with the Constitution when he appointed retired Judge James Patterson as Chairman of the Elections commission. PPP Executive Member Zulfikar Mustapha was ordered to pay the state $250,000 for his failed bid to convince the High Court to overturn the President’s edict. Royden James reports.
