Hotel Manager robbed of phone, keys while walking home

A Manager of a Hotel was robbed of his cellular phone and a bag containing keys by two men, one of whom was armed with a knife, while he was en route to his home on Monday night.

The man, identified as Paul Rodney, resides in Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara (ECD), and told the cops that around 23:10h as he was walking home, the two suspects pounced on him from behind.

According to a police statement on the matter, the knife-wielding bandit placed his weapon to Rodney’s neck and relieved him of his Motorola Cellular phone valued at $50,000 along with the bag that contained keys.

After the two (2) suspects obtained the above-mentioned articles they made good their escape on foot.

Police ranks were summoned shortly after the armed robbery took place and the area was combed for the suspects but the search was unsuccessful.

Investigations are ongoing.
