The accused, Imran Khan, is now temporarily free after High Court Judge Sandil Kissoon granted bail in the sum of $700,000. Attorney-at-Law Glen Hanoman had requested the case be tried in the High Court. As a condition for bail Khan was ordered to desist from making contact the family of the injured man. It was Attorney-at-law Latchmi Rahamat, who had been assigned as the Special Prosecutor in the matter, who informed the court that the relatives of Khan visited the victim, Romario Baljeet at his residence to settle the matter. Baljeet is still reportedly hospitalized. The 37-year-old Khan was arrested after he was reportedly seen on surveillance footage beating Baljeet on October 28 outside of Palm Court. Hanoman had questioned the reason for charge the instituted against his client. The video
