INDIGENOUS VILLAGE LEADERS GET $15000 RAISE IN STIPEND

Indigenous village leaders across Guyana will receive a long-overdue increase in their stipends promised more than a year ago. In announcing an increase of $15000, President Irfaan Ali at the National Toshaos Council Conference, which opened on Monday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, underscored Government’s commitment to ensuring hinterland communities obtain free access to potable water.
