-Diamond Secondary School a temporary shelter for those affected -CDC
At about 17: 30hrs yesterday (Wednesday) the koker at Market Street Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD) broke away causing flood to the immediate surroundings.
Water level was about eight ( 8 ) inches and climbing. NDC staff were on the ground trying to remedy the situation.
According to the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) the Diamond Secondary School has been identified as a temporary shelter for citizens affected by the breached koker in the area.
Residents are urged to call the CDC’s hotline for further assistance and to access the shelter.
