Labourer dies after metal lift falls at supermarket

A 22-year-old youth is now in the Ezekiel Parlour for storage after being involved in an accident at the F & R Supermarket, Lot 29 Stelling Road, Vreed-En-Hoop, West Coast Demerara on November 4, 2021.
Police say that Sudesh Charran was walking under a metal lift to go into the supermarket when it fell from the upper flat and pinned the deceased to the ground of the lower flat. Workers then rushed to his assistance and used a piece of wood and jack and rise the metal lift. They then managed to pull the Labourer out, but by this time he was motionless and a large wound was seen to the top of his head.

Investigation in progress.
