- Confirms termination of two pilots
LIAT is ramping up its operations for the season by adding additional services between Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados, and Ogle in Guyana. These new flights will bring the total amount of flights between the countries to ten per week. This comes shortly after the airline announced that it will be cutting cost to make their operations more effective.
To this end, LIAT’s Chief Executive Officer, David Evans, has confirmed that the company recently parted ways with two pilots who reportedly failed to honour the airline’s rules. The two are said to have disregarded instructions from the company’s Flight Operations Department, and flew an aircraft to VC Bird International Airport while a storm was approaching.
