It was a weekend of singing, gyrating and performances galore at the National Stadium at Providence when the finals of the annual Mashramani competitions in the genres of chutney, soca and Calypso were held.When the dust had cleared on Friday night, it was 18-year-old newcomer Vinel Hinds who was proudly wearing the 2022 junior calypso crown, having swept both the audience and judges off their feet with her energetic anthem for young women titled ‘Yuh Lie’.
