After overcoming electrical issues in 2019, the Linden
Immigration Office will finally be commissioned today, Thursday February 20,
2020 by Director General of the Ministry of the Presidency, Mr. Joseph Harmon.
Although the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) building
facilitated residents of Linden to renew and uplift new passports, persons of
Region 10 still had to travel to Georgetown to apply for their new passports.
However, with the Immigration Office being ready to function, the residents
will have access to passport and immigration services as well birth and death
certificates issuance.
