Lindener died from drowning – PME

Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh on Wednesday Morning has concluded that 23-year-old Stephen Wayne Major died as a result of drowning.

On Sunday last, while at a hang out at popular swimming spot “Buck Town” with friends, tragedy struck. According to police investigations, whilst consuming alcohol Major reportedly moved to the Koker area, and to his friends it appeared he was doing stunts in the water by throwing himself in the water and coming back up. However, at one point, the man did not appear back up. It was after about 2 minutes police say he resurfaced a short distance away from the koker front.

A man who was at the creek attempted to rescue Major but failed due to the strong water current.

Five other men retrieved Major from the water and took him to shore in an unconscious state.
CPR was conducted on Major but he failed to regain consciousness. He was then rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
