MAJOR MICHAEL SHAHOUD ADMITTED TO LOCAL BAR

–  Justice Brassington Reynolds accepted petition

 

Michael Shahoud, a Major and attorney at law, was admitted to the Guyana Bar Association following years of dedication. The Petition was presented to Justice Brassington- Reynolds by attorney at law Andrew Pollard.
Major Shahoud attended the North Georgetown Secondary School in Georgetown, and upon the completion of his secondary education, the young man joined the ranks of the Guyana Defence Force.
During his productive stint in the GDF, Maj.  Shahoud was the recipient of various trainings on both local and foreign frontiers. He later headed to the University of Guyana for studies in the pre- law programme. After receiving a scholarship, Major Shahoud attended the Hugh Wooding Law School where he completed his course with distinction.
Justice Reynolds applauded the young man and urged him to hold high morals and ethos in his profession and noted that he is confident the newest member of the bar will complete his mandate without prejudice.
Chief of Staff, Brigadier Mark Phillips, Officer Commanding the GDF Legal Services Department, Attorney-at-Law Mrs. Mellissa Yearwood-Stewart and Ms. Mercedez Hernandez were all present at the admission ceremony.
