A 33-year-old man who had been visiting a relative’s home in the North West District (NWD), Region One (Barima-Waini) is now dead, after he allegedly took his own life.
The discovery was made on Monday (yesterday) around 11:30h.
According to a police statement, the now deceased, “who is suspected to be of unsound mind”, told a family member of his intentions to take his own life about a week ago.
“No marks of violence was observed on his body and it was pronounced dead by doctors at the medical facility in the region. A Post Mortem Examination (PME) is expected shortly.”
Investigations continue.
